Among the numerous groups of baroque music that have emerged in the last decades, Europa Galante, is one of the most highly-regarded by specialists since its foundation in 1990. Its musicians have been devoted to early music and united around violinist Fabio Biondi.
Born in Palermo, Fabio Biondi had his debut at the age of twelve as a soloist in the Symphonic Orchestra of the RAI. By the time he was sixteen he was invited to play in the Musikverein of Vienna. Europa Galante is a flexible group of thirty members that can either give presentations as a quartet or as an orchestra.
