Martin Kippenberger (Dortmund, 1953 - Vienna, 1997) belonged to the generation of artists trained in the Cologne and Dusseldorf schools which introduced new trends in German art in the 80s. Dissociated from the expressionism then in vogue, Kippenberger took up a critical and ironical stance, based on the current neo-Dada trend and produced a broad range of work that included painting, sculpture, photography, installation and writing. A selection of 100 works offers a representative view of his output.
