During the period when Vienna's second district was still being shaped by the Sephardic Jews, one could truly experience the culture of the Sephardis, a culture which spans many nations. The Spanish musician Jordi Savall and Hespèrion XXI devote their programme Mare Nostrum to the people who developed a rich culture of music on the shores of the Mediterranean.
