The Police at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
UNITED STATES MORRISON, COLORADO • Red Rocks Amphitheatre • 21 - 22 July 2008 |
 |
Despite a relatively short run in the early 1980s, The Police live on as one of the most influential bands of their era. They first hit it big with singles like “Roxanne,” “Message in a Bottle” and “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” and then they became a sensation with the release of the album “Synchronicity” with the track “Every Breath You Take.” Blending reggae, punk, jazz and rock, they dominated the top of the charts and radio airwaves worldwide for the six years they were together.
A portion of the proceeds from this tour will be donated to WaterAid, an international NGO founded in 1981 and dedicated to reducing poverty by improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre is located in Red Rocks Park west of Denver, Colorado in the town of Morrison.
