Philadelphia Orchestra Associate Conductor Rossen Milanov presents a program of Philadelphia Orchestra premieres. American composer Richard Danielpour and poet Maya Angelou have based their new work, A Woman's Life, on the life and world of American soprano Angela Brown, who appears as soloist for this Philadelphia Orchestra co-commission. Opening the concert is Barber's witty School for Scandal Overture. The concert's second half features Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 3.
