Photographic exhibitions, films, portfolio reviews and artist talks - these are just some of the events included in the programme when the international photography festival FotoTriennale.dk 2012 asks its audience: What is The Good Life?

Scattered around the beautiful Danish island Funen are the 11 exhibition venues of this year's festival all displaying film or photography that are either critical, humorous, provoking or ironic comments on the festival theme: The Good Life. With this theme FotoTriennale.dk wants to challenge the audience's preconceived ideas about a good life and hopefully start a debate for  everyone to participate in.

The following artists will be participating:

Elif Çelebi (CA/TR), Larry Clark (US), Mary Coble (US), Nigel Dickinson (GB), Esra Ersen (TR), Cao Fei (CN), Lucia Ganieva (RU), Julie Edel Hardenberg (DK), Pieter Hugo (ZA), Per Bak Jensen (DK), Mette Juul (DK), Urs Lüthi (CH), Fredrik Marsh (US), Sřren Martinsen (DK), Andreas Meichsner (DE), Bill Owens (US), Jeannette Pardorf (DK), Martin Parr (GB), Robert Harding Pittman (DE), Frank Dabba Smith (GB), Pieter van den Boogert (NL).

Films

For the first time films are also included in the festival. These are films by the directors Larry Clark (USA), Lauren Greenfield (USA), Eva Mulvad (DK), Ben Rivers (GB) and Lucy Walker (GB).

In conjunction with the opening days of FotoTriennale.dk, the popular, international Meeting Place Portfolio Review will once again take place at Brandts in Odense. Meeting Place Portfolio Review is a professional forum for one-to-one meetings between photographers and 28 international curators, museum directors, gallery owners, magazine editors, publishers and festival directors.
