Legendary pianist and poet Cecil Taylor is one of the greatest improvisers in the history of modern jazz. Now well into his 80s, Taylor makes a very rare trip to Los Angeles for this intimate solo concert co-presented in conjunction with the exhibition Blues for Smoke at MOCA. Cecil Taylor is the recipient of both Guggenheim and MacArthur fellowships.
