The exhibition's thematic groupings reveal all the elements of Parisian culture: Art Nouveau, the Dark Side, the Eiffel Tower, Grand Theatres, High Society, New Directions, and Views of the City. Paris in the Age of Impressionism includes more than 100 objects from all areas of the Musée d'Orsay's renowned collections, including paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, works on paper, and photographs.
The exhibition will travel to its only other American venue, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, from 6 April 29 June 2003.
