Meshell’s 10th album — Pour une ame souveraine (For a sovereign soul) - A dedication to Nina Simone — was released on 9 October. It is a luminous collection of songs that pays homage to a music legend and features special guests Sinead O'Conner, Lizz Wright, Valerie June, Toshi Reagon and Cody ChesnuTT.
